Last year, 2025, was our UERM batch’s 35 th Coral Anniversary. Thanks to our batchmate Dra. Cherry Maglaya-Johnston, has arranged and organized an impromptu celebration in her new abode
in Las Vegas Nevada November 8, 2025,. Since it was sudden, only a few of our classmates were able to attend. Furthermore, it also coincided with US flights being cancelled and long line delays due to problems with TSA. Dennis Talon was among the casualty. He and Gina, his wife were already in New Jersey airport when they decided to cancel their flights and accommodations. November 7, 2025 Friday was a lunch at Weera Thai, our batch’s favorite Thai restaurant. Aside from stories from medical school, families, work, etc. We enjoyed playing Mexican train dominoes and Jenga-like wooden blocks tumbling tower.

November 8, 2025 Saturday was brunch prepared by Capampangan caterer with Japanese Sushi boat followed by a Mexican Tacos for dinner with open bar, photobooth, DI and DJ. Tequila was flowing, taking shots! Karaoke singing and dancing abound. We continued with evening games as well as Cael’s financial strategies and counseling.
November 9, 2025 was hike around Eagle Hills, a guard gated community South area of Summerlin followed by brunch at Mexican restaurant, Casa Don Juan. This was then followed by good byes. Definitely, it was a weekend of never-ending stories of medical school, residencies, life and of course jokes, playing Mexican train dominoes and Jenga-like wooden tower blocks, singing OPM and pop songs karaoke, eating native Filipino food as well as international food, drinking wine, whisky and tequila, dancing, and good old camaraderie.
Until the next event of fun, happiness and re-connection, have a wonderful healthy mind!
