2 Corinthians 5:7
Here we are reminded that there is a distinct difference between the physical versus the spiritual. The physical things are visible and the spiritual things are invisible. The visible world pertains to things we see, hear or touch. Whereas the invisible world is not only what we do NOT see; it is foreign, not well understood and unknown. It can also be very dimensional and deep. Thus, one has to make additional effort to understand this invisible world. Remember, GOD’s power resides as part of the invisible world and HIS creation is meant to guide us to a better understanding of what we cannot see.
For example, imagine yourself immersed in a breathtaking scenery of a serene crystal lake, with majestic mountains in the background casting blue and green shadows while the sunlight plays with the surroundings. It is easy to be enthralled with the beautiful things that we can see right before our eyes. Then we reach out to that trusty camera to capture that moment, for a shot or two and even selfies, right! We get awed by the creation…but how about the Creator? Here, we are encouraged to dig deeper to our inner thoughts, not only in beautiful moments like this but also in everyday mundane events. This will make us understand the true meaning of life better.
Stemming from this is another powerful verse , “GOD is Spirit and HIS worshippers must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24). As believers, putting our faith on invisible things in the Spirit of the Lord promises peace, wisdom and a deeper understanding of the invisible spirit world. It helps strengthen one’s faith. All we have to do is ask in prayer…So where will you put your faith today?
